My Baby Turns 10 Years Old!
Okay, not my actual baby, he’s only 10 months.
But my very first baby, my first of leap of faith in my life, Trust in Tricia just turned 10 years old! I can’t believe a whole decade ago I decided to start my own styling business, just hoping people that didn’t know me would trust me with their image. I literally just decided. Created a logo, a business card and dragged my siblings to the mall with me to put flyers on cars. Started attending more fashion events, created a website. This is my very first “headshot”. I didn’t have the money to hire a photographer, so I “hired” my cousin instead. We went to the mall, found a cool chair in Nordstrom and then she knocked out the background in photoshop to look like I actually had a professional photoshoot.
And my first client? My Memere. If you’re familiar with my story then you know that my grandmother was my first “client”, around age 8 when she would take me to the store with her and let me pick out all of her clothes. And when I first launched Trust in Tricia, she was again my first client. This is the very first Before and After I had to put on my website. (…And this is her video testimonial, just to show you how cute she is!)
I’ve rebranded several times over the years, I’ve added new services like speaking, fashion workshops, tv show hosting, closet organization and interior design. But most importantly I have grown. I have learned so much, not just about the industry but about myself. This journey has been amazing and if I continue I just may tear up.
So onto the fun part! How do I want to celebrate the past fabulous decade of fashion? I want to give back! I want to do a big huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me along the way.
