My Bootie's Happy in Boston Jeans
One of my 2011 goals was to start blogging… So welcome to my first ever entry! I’ve never blogged before, though my friends and family who receive my many novel length texts would probably beg to differ!
So what prompted me to start today? An inspirational photoshoot that I attended last Sunday that I still can’t stop talking about! As a stylists, I’ve attended and styled many shoots. This was not initially my gig, I went along to support a friend so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But as soon as we arrived I jumped right in to not only assist in styling the shoot, but also modeling some jeans myself! Kudos to Boston Jean Company for putting on such a successful, inviting and relaxing photoshoot. Set in an indoor location on the waterfront, food and wine flowing all day long, 16 beautiful models had a blast on and off camera. All egos checked at the door, each model brought something different to the table but also helped each other out and encouraged risky poses and cheered on brilliant smiles. The staff on hand representing Boston Jean Company created such an easy going friendly environment, yet were completely professional, down to earth and organized.
I cant wait to see the pictures! But in the meantime, I’ve tried on the complimentary pair of jeans I got for my participation about 3 times already! Their debut- Friday night out with the girls for dinner and drinks! I love them! This denim line is super trendy, with a great array of washes, but the best part…a true memento of Boston. With names such as the ‘Cambridge’ and the ‘Newbury’, designs inspired by City Lights and the Zakim Bridge, even a pair inspired by the MBTA lines where the button is an old subway token! I literally stopped the shoot for a good minute because I was in such awe at how authentic the token looked, I hadn’t seen one in years! (good choice on BJC’s part because I don’t think the Charlie Card would have made a very good button!)
Keep your eyes open for Boston Jean Company because I have a feeling your going to be seeing some very exciting things in the near future…(wink, wink!)
