Public PJ's

WHY do people leave their houses in their pj’s?! It just doesn’t make any sense to me! I’m hard pressed to walk my dog in jammies, never mind run errands or go shopping! Can someone please help me understand the though process behind this? Does one just roll out of bed and proceed about their day in their pj’s?…gross. Do they still shower and brush their teeth? And then put back on the same pj’s?…gross. OR do they clean up and put on another set of pj’s…which could actually be even worse because this means they went through the process of getting dressed, in an effort to look like they didn’t get dressed! And why on earth would anyone want to look like they didn’t get dressed to be seen in public?!    *sigh*

I included an article from Wales, England in one of my newsletters last year about how a supermarket had banned shoppers from shopping in their pj’s, and were actually enforcing this rule! I love it and think that needs to be brought into the states! It takes the SAME effort to put on a pair of jeans and a top that it does to put on a pair of sleepy time pants and a tee, so why opt for ‘just rolled out of bed and don’t care about my appearance’ option??

Do I myself have days that I feel like being super casual- a gloomy, rainy day, that time of the month; absolutely! However, there is no excuse for snoopy pants, ripped over-sized t-shirts and dirty slippers in public! (YES, slippers! Mind you, this outburst of mine stems from what I saw at the doctors office today. Many people in pj’s, and it wasn’t 7:00 am) Let me provide a little assistance for those super dress down days, because even when one is their most comfortable, they can still look well put together. PLEASE instead of the sleepwear you’ve had since 7th grade, try one of the following options:

City Hearts                                                                                 Anatomie

     Juicy                                           Revolve
