How To Transition Your Favorite Summer Pieces From Summer To Fall

How To Transition Your Favorite Summer Pieces From Summer To Fall
Transitional weather can be the toughest to dress for- especially if you live in New England! Transitional wardrobes consist of layering pieces appropriate for one day with temperatures nearly 80 degrees and the next day temperatures in the 60’s. So while you have likely already packed away your summer clothes there’s a chance you could have- and should have- kept some of those pieces out for a few more weeks.

*Tricia’s Tips*
Another great way to carry over a summer item into the fall is with the use of colors in addition to or instead of layering. For example- want to carry over a pastel dress who’s hue screams spring/summer? Add a fall color to it- like black tights and black booties!

Caution– While I am a fan of carry over styles there are some seasonal staples that should remain as they are. For example, white linen. The material is a little too “resort” for fall/winter, however the color can still be carried over in heavier fabrics.
