Guide To Shoes By Temperature
Clients and friends have been asking me a lot of questions lately regarding footwear in this transitional weather. “Should I put my flip flops away yet?” “When am I supposed to stop wearing sandals?” “I’m excited to wear my new fall boots but is it too early?”
So I came up with a Guide on what types of shoes to wear depending on the temperature. I don’t feel there is necessarily a “summer” shoe or a “winter” shoe because of what month it is (I do live in New England after all!) but rather what the temperature and weather conditions are.
Now of course as in anything involving fashion, rules are meant to be broken… as long as they are done stylishly and confidently. Shorts and boots? Of course! In 60 or 70 degree weather, totally cute! In 30 degree weather… good luck with that! Open toe or strappy heels in 30 degree weather? If its a holiday or New Year’s Eve type of celebration then absolutely, as long as you are wearing tights.
Again these are just my personal preferences and recommendations so tweak as you see fit!
