Flatforms

Last year, Flatforms were predicted to be the hottest shoe trend for Spring 2011. Do you agree? Have you tried on a pair yet?

At first glance I was a little grossed out by the flatform shoe (If I may be honest!) I am a major fan of flats because they are feminine and fashionable without sacrificing comfort. But to add a block of wood underneath? That’s just heavy, chunky and unflattering! And I adore wedges! But thats because they give the height of a heel with the support of a full platform. So do I really want to mix the two?

After more investigating I did find a few pairs that were semi appealing, by Chloe, Jeffrey Campbell and Free People. It got me thinking- I suppose the shoes are a good alternative to having to hem all of my new wide leg pants. They do fit in with the 70’s inspired trends… okay I’ve talked myself into giving them a try! Next will be the fit test. I did do a 180 on kitten heels, so you never know…to be continued…
