Does Your Closet Look Like The Before or After Picture??

Fall cleaning is upon us!  Like I always say fall cleaning is just as important as Spring cleaning, if not more. We are getting ready to hunker down for the cooler weather. Not only will we be spending more time indoors personally, but come holidays we may also be entertaining and hosting guests. And if you had anything close to the epic summer I had you were barely home and now definitely a little behind on housework. Now is the time to edit, clean out and organize!

And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing… in other people’s homes! Here’s a little bit of what I have been up to:

– Designing and organizing 2 walk in closets in a new construction! So fun to see such a masculine vibe in one and feminine in the other. It was a challenge to fit in all of the husband’s suits and the wife’s over 60 pairs of shoes, but I was able to configure it all perfectly for my contractor to install.

– Organizing 2 closets full of dreaded wire hangers! When my client told me he had recently purchased the same shirt that he already owned because he couldn’t see everything in his closet, I knew it was an emergency situation! He previously had multiple t-shirts hanging on one hanger. I switched out about 70 hangers from wire to slim line hanger and it was pretty much the most therapeutic thing I’ve done in a while! So my client got an organized closet with all of his printed tees hung, and uniform hangers throughout, and I got a little zen!

– And of course, I’m still styling my clients into their best lives! Picking up just a few tailored statement pieces work wonders for upgrading your wardrobe and ensuring a figure flattering fit. My client wore this exact outfit on our shopping trip, where she scored these most perfect jeans and jacket! I thrive on styling my client’s pieces in ways they normally wouldn’t.

– Meanwhile, at my house my closet is a disaster zone! Eeeek!

This is a true story! … But it’s totally okay because I actually can’t wait to organize it! I’m not dreading it, I’m looking forward to it. So I will make it a priority to get it done. But will you?

Because sure, you can do it yourself. But will you? Will you actually find the time to switch out hangers? Will you be able to figure out the best organizational system? Will you be able to be biased enough to edit your closet and pull out things that you maybe shouldn’t still be holding on to?  Will you make getting yourself organized a priority in your busy life?

Has the organizational bug hit you yet? If not it’s all good- I can take care of it for you! Let’s set up a quick call to discuss your needs!
