Colored Denim

Got the blues? Try colored denim for a change!

I’m seeing all sorts of bright new shades hitting stores as I type. They add a great pop of summer color to your wardrobe and can be worn through the fall. Typical top to bottom ratio is 3 shirts to every 1 bottom you own. This probably means that the average person has basic solid colored bottoms, with tops in many different color and patterns to tie back to them. Why not switch it up and let your denim be your outfit standout piece?

For a romantic, boho or vintage look try pastelcolored denim paired with a floral or striped top.

For an edgy look dress bright colored denim with leather, metallic and studs.

For a summertime cool pair white denim with…well anything! Navy for nautical inspired, black for an abstract appeal, a neon color for 80’s inspired, etc.

Colored denim also makes colorblocking even easier. Chose two or three shades that are in the same color family and make a statement!
