*Tricia’s Tips”
This month I am sharing some of the everyday items I use to make my life easier and avoid major wardrobe malfunctions. You may have heard of some of these and think they are just for the professionals or celebrities but they are actually built (and priced) for everyday life! Do you currently use or have you ever used any of these items or strategies?
Purse in a purse– Super helpful because you never know where the day may take you and this will keep you prepared! I frequently keep a small crossbody or clutch inside my day purse to quickly transition to a night activity, event or special occasion where I only need to bring the necessities.
Double sided tape– helpful in many situations, but mostly to stop that pesky gapping in between buttons on button down shirts (especially in the bust area). Keep a strip in your wallet or purse for whenever and emergency arises!
Spray pantyhose– perfect because I hate the constriction of pantyhose but love the coverage it provides. Spray it on, wait 1 minute and it dries leaving a smooth finish on skin that doesn’t get on your clothes! (*it can however land on the floor wherever you spray it so I recommend spraying in the bathtub then rinsing the tub out right away)
Deodorant sponge– Seriously what is more annoying then getting all dressed up, running out the door and finding deodorant all over your top? Deodorant sponge to the rescue- it really works!
Bra wash bag- the shape is especially perfect for allowing padded bars to retain their shape will being protected in the washing machine
Belt hole puncher– the savior for many belts that would have otherwise been tossed or given away! Have a belt that is too small to wear low on your waist? Create another hole and wear it around your ribcage to create an empire waist over a dress or tunic! (Also works great on shoes and purse straps!)
Waterproof spray- I go through cans and cans of this stuff and I cannot say enough about it! Spraying your leather and suede goods with this every few wears, or specifically when rain is in the forecast, truly extends its life. This spray not only protects from water, but also helps protect against stains. (*and its not just for shoes! Don’t forget to spray leather or suede handbags and jackets too.)
